At landfill sites.
Descripción:

Prevention and control:
A landfill site rehabilitation project should be drawn up according to criteria based on soil and water conservation. It should include calculations of slope stability and propose efficient methods of revegetation. It is also necessary to plan the monitoring of any proposed rehabilitation measures.
In Catalonia, environmental management associated with mining activities is regulated by Law 12/1981, Decree 343/1983 and other legislation deriving from them. They aim to successfully integrate the affected spaces into their local natural environments once the activity is finished.
